IWC is celebrating 50 years since the 1976 Ingenieur SL (ref. 1832), designed by Gérald Genta, with two anniversary models: the Ingenieur Automatic 40 (IW328910, calibre 32111, 120-hour reserve) and the Ingenieur Automatic 35 (IW324909, calibre 47110, 42-hour reserve). Both have a silver-plated, vertically brushed dial on which the lightning bolt is replaced by '50', and 100m water resistance. Each is limited to 1,150 pieces, at $15,000 and $12,900. The original sold only 598 pieces between 1976 and 1983.
