MB&F has unveiled the LM1 EVO, a sporty version of the brand's first Legacy Machine, launched 15 years ago. The 42mm case is 16.8mm thick, in grade 5 titanium or 18k rose gold, water-resistant to 80m with two screw-down crowns. It runs on the hand-wound LM1 movement developed with Jean-François Mojon and Kari Voutilainen, with a 60-hour power reserve. The titanium version is unlimited at US$109,000; the rose gold version is limited to 33 pieces at US$137,000.

Why it matters: One of the independent scene's icons returns in an everyday sports format.
