Renaud Tixier, the independent brand formed by Dominique Renaud, co-founder of movement specialist Renaud & Papi, and young master watchmaker Julien Tixier, has unveiled the Monday Skeleton. The 40.8mm, 12.6mm-thick 18k grey gold case houses the skeletonised automatic calibre RVI2025, with a platinum micro-rotor, a patented 'dancer' winding mechanism, 262 hand-finished components and at least 72 hours of power reserve. It comes in dark green or petrol blue, 15 pieces each; the price is to be confirmed. The brand plans seven watches named after the days of the week over 20 years.
Why it matters: A long-term independent project led by one of the industry's great movement inventors.
